FloWave joins AIRTO Research & Innovation body

Membership underlines FloWave’s Research & Innovation credentials

The FloWave Ocean Energy Research Facility at the University of Edinburgh has just joined AIRTO, one of the foremost organisations in the UK’s innovation, research and technology sector.

AIRTO, the Association for Innovation, Research and Technology Organisations, brings together the country’s leading universities, businesses and research organisations to encourage enterprise and the commercial take up of scientific and technological advances.

Together, AIRTO members’ represent a significant component of the UK’s innovation ecosystem employing over 57,000  scientists, engineers  and  technical  staff with a combined turnover in excess of £5.5 billion. This is comparable in size to around twenty research-intensive universities.

Welcoming the new relationship FloWave Chief Executive Officer Stuart Brown said:
